"Let's Rock Again!" Now Available on DVD
At long last, the music licenses are done, the deals have been signed and Let’s Rock Again! is finally on home video!
The distribution is widespread so you should be able to find it in most major outlets (including Amazon.com) as well as in local the mom-and-pop stores.
The reviews have been passionate and welcoming. There is a great wellspring of interest and enthusiasm for Joe Strummer among young as well as "older" fans.
It has been a long road. Thank you all for waiting.

The Buzz
A recent Rolling Stone review of Don Letts' "Punk:Attitude" mentions that the 2-DVD set contains "Dick Rude's superb short L.A. Punk, in which Peter Case concludes, 'The nihilism that came out with punk rock spread to everything, and now it's just another huge candy bar for the universe.'"
Let's Rock Again! was thrust into the limelight in May of 2004 at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York. The premier was a resounding success. Sold out houses caused the festival directors to add extra theaters for the spill-over crowd! Since then, Let's Rock Again! has appeared at the American Film Institute (AFI) Festival In Los Angeles and the D.C. AFI Silverdocs festival where it eclipsed all other films showing. A huge outdoor screening event pulled in over 700 attendees while more than 350 watched the film indoors at the same time.
Screenings and rave reviews in the Washington Post, Variety and other journals have caused Joe Strummer and the Mescaleros record sales to jump in North America. Our mission has already been achieved and hopefully sales will continue to grow.

Rude News
Hello Kitty is also looking for a home. This story is a Maltese Falcon piece for the kids. Written by Dick Rude and Robb Greenberg, it is the first episode in a series of whodunits awaiting financing.
Lastly, check out the Punk Attitude DVD in America for the 20-minute short that I made chronicling the first five years (1976-81) of Punk Rock in Los Angeles. I am currently shopping around to expand this documentary into a feature film. Last December’s issue of Rolling Stone calls it “superb.”
